Lilli Corners sat beside her husband, Dalton Corners, and peeped into the message, he writes on a gold sheet, which indicates terrible things; he holds a sharp nail and scribbles the message on the gold flake.
He handed it to the reader, “read it aloud, shall the great mountains melt by thy voice, shall
seas scarce by thy speech, read it!” said Dalton.
The man took the flake and reads the Aromadian letters, and speaks a summary of this, he
said,
“my dear courtiers, our majesty has just written a message, of which he was warning to
other lands in Megalithia, that Astoria was sighted in northern plains, and for the wellness
of the great continent, our majesty is spreading his message by a gold flake”
Dalton said, “Shall the message be reached to all the civilised races of Megalithia!”
The message plate is taken away by the messenger.
