Chapter No- 01
During the second age of Mediocris, after the first age of Phantasia, were the world is yet a civilized source of ancient times, were no modern idea existed, and still emperors, kings and dukes exist, in the earth‟s only continent Megalithia, in the land of Sanatoria, in the cottage away from the city of Sanatova, began a story of a girl, Britannia, took out her basket and peeped out the window that the climate is clear, she could see a rising red sun.
She felt someone licking over her foot; it‟s her fox pet, Dencaco. she held him into her underarms and rubbed his forehead, he licked her face, she said chuckling, "okay, my boy, but, I‟ve to meet parents and get your favourite mushrooms ” she left him on the ground, walked to the entrance and opened the door she said “I‟ll be right back from bazaar soon” and slid the door close.
Dancing to chirping of the tiny sparrows, she walked towards Sanatova, nearby city. Britannia wore a blue bodice which was enwrapped by a blue coat, and a navy blue skirt that ran along as her leg, she had her bodice as long as her cuffs, she stylishly placed a slouched hat plucked with a bunch of flowers at the rim and she had charming sapphire blue eyes, and adorable perfuming red hair.
Walking about 2 miles, she entered the boundaries of Sanatova. She felt home back, the air reminded of her childhood.
Sanatova is one of cities lying on the banks of river Oreo, it is her home back from 18 years, she lived here with her parents Tolland and Catherine. She used to live with her friendsv Evander, Aegeus, Portia and California. Her best friend is Heracles, the wizard sent bye Seleucine from the heavens to clear the riddles to the great continent.
She walked over the streets which she experienced most in the child hood, not the streets with a road with a median for vehicles, there was a normal pavement for both men and women, a little pavements for dwarfs, and an enormous pavement for giants and trolls, not the giants who are fiery, psychotic and angry, they‟re gentle giant, they‟re good and strongn And wise, including the trolls, there also separate divisions on roads for parking pets like dragons, phoenixes, unicorns, griffons and gandharvas.
The butchery‟s street, whenever she wants meat, her parents would drag her here, to this street to buy steaks. But she was always afraid of the climate here, blood, gore, chopping sounds of flesh, bowels of animals, this all made her almost to hate non-vegan foods that day. She walked over the street terminal and took a glance upon her home.
The city is her past residence, her most precious memories are here, her first day of school, her teacher teaching her studies of magic. She nurtured a fox pet without the knowledge of outer society as the government bans pet animals. But a month ago, Britannia was found with the pet home alone, when a delivery man arrived the home, she was accused for raising pets against the law, and was banished from the city, since then, she had to live in the cottage far away from the city between teak woods and horrible creatures, with her fellow pet, Dencaco.
Now She was looking a terrible view; a mob was flanking her home where her parents dwell. She again dumbfounded her eyes and looked clearly; again, the crowd is at the home. She immediately began to rush hurry. But the vision is dejected, all she could see is, sorrowful!
Her mother and father are carried out from the cottage on a stretcher dragged by nuns. Shep sprinted to them and wept yelling. The nuns moved her aside persuading, her eyes are damp and are flooding like river. “Is this is, Britannia?”
Asked a voice beside, she took a glance, a police officer, “yes, this is Britannia” said she.
“This folder is found in the pockets of your dad” handing her an envelope. Britannia holds it in her hands and asked “how do you find me? That I‟m his daughter”
“Cause the address is on the folder”, chuckled the policeman. She glanced on the envelope, really, her name is written, to my dear daughter, Britannia, by your lovely father, Tolland. Policeman said, “I am sorry, you can‟t get any insurance or any right as their family member, you can‟t even know our investigation, the inspector has ordered not to include you in investigation, you are not taking any part as their family, but, don‟t worry, I gave you the letter, don‟t let anyone know that I gave you this”
Britannia‟s eyes tears. The policeman laying an arm on her shoulder, said “I‟m sad about it, your parents have committed suicide, the message was sent”
Britannia sensed a shock by the words, suicide. But at the time, she suspected a phrase, the message was sent. “The message?, but, to whom?” asked she.
“Upon checking your father‟s books, I came to know that your family has another member, the wizard, he‟ll take your role, as you‟re banished”
Britannia felt a heart -warming feeling, when she knew that the wizard is none other than Heracles, her childhood and yet a best friend.
The policeman disappears rubbing her head. As soon as the nuns, police and detectives gone, the mob began murmur. “Poor girl, lost her parents” said a woman, “don‟t assume yourself, she was accused” said a woman beside her. “I think she has been raped by someone” said the third woman, “yes, I think, soon she‟s going to pregnant” said the first wooman, and another lady said “I think because of her non-virginity, her parents died”
Britannia felt each word stabbing into her back; those aunts who blame her now were oncer Great women in her sight who taught her morals of life when she was a child. She can‟t hear a word no more, rushed out from the place sobbing barely, making convulsive gasps. Sheh thought why she‟s gone to the city on the bright day. The joyful she came out from her cottage, the sorrowful she returns. She slammed the doors and yelled barely, gently settlingo Down sticking her back upon the door. Dencaco could understand how burden her master bears on, the burden of mental fever.
Dencaco hugged his master and tapped her shoulders to persuade her, the life without parent‟s aid, without friends, without respect in society, without freedom to do, without a good fame, without no mate, without one to talk, living between a speechless pet and woods, looking the same walls all through the day, Is like hell is much better than is, imagine like that, no parents, when you‟re banished for no cause, the entire public blames you for no reason, your friends repel you for no treason, the public talks word that pricks your heart, when you cry gasping lonely for all, questioning the walls, tables, trees, cause no nne is there to wipe your tears, mind killing without no answer from those non-living things, hearing the echoes of your own yells, but no answer, imagine the life of a lonely, you‟ll feel hell is better than earth.
Please think the situation of a girl, who didn‟t do any sin, but was banished for rearing a pet, understand the affliction of a pure girl, who was accused to be ravished, but she was pure and has no pleasure upon it, she was embarrassed for things never done in cause of the rumours of a rascal mouth, I know you won‟t know her pain ever, because, Everything is a humour, until it comes to you.
Britannia fell upon her bed with a jerk, and opened the letter given by her father, she Plucked out the letter from the paper envelope, the letter reads,
Dear Britannia, unto you write this message your father, my dear child, I am very sorry for I‟m not alive when you read this, and your mother too, but I am not apologising nay for this, I am going to reveal you an ultimate truth, that I‟ve hidden in the hearts of me and your mother, my child, I‟m, I am, actually..
And the page ends, the other part is aside of the page, Britannia is eager to know, what truth that must be, that her father and mother wrote before killing themselves, why cant they tell while alive, is that truth that much bitter, what‟s so secret do hide since from her childhood. Britannia no more could wait, flipped the page to read, suddenly, Dencaco began to bark, maybe he wants to pee, Britannia stood up from her bed, opened the door to let him out and kept the door as it is so that she needs not to stand up again to let him in. she walked fore to lie on the bed, suddenly!
She felt something hitting over her legs, it‟s the basket that she got to get groceries from bazaar. But, she came from there without anything that she came home weeping as mentioned earlier. She needs to cook, Dencaco will soon be hungry, and she kept the letter aside without reading completely and ran out to get some mushrooms from the woods deep behind her cottage. She loves her pet so much that she let slipped to know the truth of her parents, if doesn‟t cook now, It‟ll be dark as the sun sets soon, rather she must starve herself and her pet the entire night.
